Reflection #4
So the past two weeks have been good and bad. I'll talk about the week before spring break first. It wasn't the best week, but I don't remember why. Friday, I got quite a bit of homework for over spring break, which made me a little angry, but it's high school, so I better get used to it. It wasn't that we got homework over spring break that made me angry, but the fact that I was leaving on Sunday for Oklahoma and that I had to get most of it done before then, because at the time we planned on getting back on Saturday. In band, my director assigned us FIVE tapes to record over spring break that were due the Monday after we got back. That was what made me really angry. I was infuriated because we were the only band out of four bands that had to do tapes the whole year. I glared at my band director till I couldn't see strait. But that wasn't so bad after I got over it. I think I over reacted just a little bit. Anyways, I'll move onto the next week. SPRING BREAK!!! My dad and me drove up to our new house in Oklahoma, just the two of us. (My mom was working). We had our Uhaul and my dad's pink truck packed to the brim with our stuff. We got our things unpacked and in the house and got things set up, which was fun. We also visited my brother and his family, who live right down the street from the house we bought. Jackson and Nathan are amazing!!! Their personalities are so different, it's very funny to watch the two brothers play. Jackson, whose four, is the smart, laid-back, easy-going child(A.K.A the pleaser). Nathan is the exact opposite. He's very...physical. He's a tough little one. He doesn't always listen to his mother, and thinks it's very funny. Then after we left Tulsa, Oklahima, we drove over to Hammon, Oklahoma, to visit my cousins, Donnie and Bart. Then we came back home and that's where I am right now, enjoying the last two days of my vacation doing the rest of my homework!!!
Assignment #4

What am I passionate about? What am I interested in? Let me state, first of all, that I absolutly hate when people ask me this question. I know that most people love being asked this question because they get to talk about themselves and blah blah blah. But for some reason I just can't seem to answer this question to my satisfaction. I always answer "Oh, I just like hanging out with friends, playing bassoon, reading...", which is what I like to do, but it makes me seem...well...not interesting.
For the first time in awhile, I went to visit my brother and his family, which includes his wife and two sons. Jackson is four and Nathan is two. They're the most wonderful little boys I've met and I LOVE them. Not like, but love them. Jackson is always learning new things and quickly too. Nathan is just learning how to talk, which is unusual to me because Jackson was talking at age one and the only words Nathan can say at age two is "Yesh" and "No". That got me interested in how children learn. How do you teach a kid everything you know? The simple things seem to be the hardest, things you've just known since...forever. Jackson will ask why he has to do something or how you do something and I'm just stuck, I can't give him a good answer because I'm can't explain. Children and how they learn fascinates me.
I'm also very interested in human rights, if you get me started on the topic. My father is a lawyer and protects people's rights, especially the rights of prisoners, when they're violated. He's taught me that no matter what, everybody has rights that are not to be violated, no matter what they have done. Some people would disagree, saying that "prisoners deserve what they get", and "they had their chance". Those statements infuriate me. Is it right to beat a person to a pulp, till they're hurt so bad that they can't move or talk? This happens to prisoners every day. No, I don't think that they deserve that kind of treatment no matter what. Yes, they deserve to be in prison for what they did, but not have their rights be abused.
Last of all, I love playing my bassoon and tenor saxophone. Whenever I play my instrument, I feel happy for some reason. I can't explain. Also, I love my family and animals, especailly my cat Patrick. He's chubby and fat, but I love him. Reading is my favorite hobbie, if you want to call it that. I don't really see reading as a hobbie, but a pass time. Books provide another world for me to escape into, worlds that aren't real except in the imagination.
I'm going to stop typing now and get on to my other homework. Hope you enjoyed that little passage about me. :)

Reflection TRES
The past two weeks have been good. Today was kinda not so good at the end though because in math and teen leardership, the last two periods of my day, we had the student teacher substututing. Her voice was VERY loud and ended up making everyone's brains turn to mush. All the other days of the past two weeks have been great!!! I just got two new goldfish from Tiffany today and we got them a bowl, rocks, food, cleaning stuff, and a little purple flower. Their names are Neville and Lupin...yes...from Harry Potter. I know I'm a dork. Last Saturday I went to Melissa Brown's birthday party! Happy Birthday!!! We went on a scavenger hunt and it was really cold. But I got to eat cake, which I hadn't had in a while, and pizza and icecream and chicken wings. It was tasty. Also, on Sunday I visited Sandy Sparkman. She'd just had surgery on her hip, but she can walk with her walker now!!! Truthfully, I don't remember what went on the week before that...so I just talked about this week!!! Okay that's about it. Bye!!!
Assignment #3!!!

Is it better to fall in love or learn to love? By learn to love I am assuming that means you are forced to love someone. I think falling in love is better than learning to love someone. If you have to "learn" to love someone, that's not real enough. I believe you should be allowed to find someone that's special to YOU, not your parents or any other party. Love should be natural, not artificial. Loving someone takes all of your heart, you can't just take a random person off the street and suddenly love them. It seems to take time and patience to find the one person that you'll truly love.
On the other hand, I also think that if the person you're forced to love or have to learn to love is a generally a nice person, you could learn to love that person as something other than a spouse, but still love them, like a friend. Even if you find your "true love", you're not going to like every single thing about them. Same goes for any person. So if you're learning to love someone, you're not gonna like every little thing about them anyway.
Love is fragile and it shouldn't be chosen for you or something like that. Love usually comes naturally and should be left to its own devises.
