Just a week ago my band and me were in Colorado skiing and snowboarding!!! Choir and Orchestra came along with us. I had never seen so much snow in my life. It never stopped snowing the whole time we were there, which was about three days. The snow sparkled and shined. It looked so beautiful that it didn't look real to me. I got so excited when I saw that little flakes of snow were coming down on our charter bus. The mountains surrounding us were covered from top to bottom with pure, white snow. The next day we got dressed in our ski clothes, Jillian looking like a ninja. Getting through the line to rent boots and skis was traumatizing though. It took about two hours to get our skis and boots. When we finally got out to the beginner/lessons place I was bursting with excitement. I had waited on a bus for about 22 hours for this! After wiping out on the last little lesson hill I was ready to go up to the big BUNNY SLOPES! Our guide was awesome and taught us how to turn right and left, which I heard from many of my friends that they didn't get taught this important lesson. I fell a total of two times up on the slope. I had to have help getting back up both times, sadly. It was better than taking off my skis though, which were hard to get on . I loved skiing. That night when I talked to my parents I asked if we could go skiing sometime during the winter and that I already wanted to learn how to snowboard. The next day I went into town with Aimee and Sarah and a few others. We visited a few shops then stopped in a nice little fudge/ice cream store. We were sitting there drinking our drinks when we saw a 30 year old guy building this snowman outside with a HUGE butt. Aimee, Sarah, and me went to some more shops While the others stayed in the shop. When we came back, we found the snow man was definitely a man and had a new addition to him, if you know what I mean. ;) Then we had to head back. We left at about 7 but then got stuck going up the snow covered hill for about two hours. We finally got back home the next day at about 9:30 at night. The trip was absolutely amazing! I loved it and loved going to Colorado with all my friends.
The next week after that was nothing special though. Homework, work, and more homework, thanks to school. :) I enjoyed Mr. Powell's class especially this past week though because we had a "class discussion", which was fun. Other than that nothing special happened, but it wasn't a bad week.
Sage :D
